Ruth comes home with her stepson Calvin after the reading of her wealthy father's will, and she is furious. The late man was obsessed with his genetic legacy continuing: her two siblings get their share of the inheritance right away because they have biological children, but Ruth, who only has a stepson, won't see a cent until she gives birth to a child of her own. And if she doesn't manage it within three years, her siblings get everything. Ruth refuses to accept the insult to her and Calvin, because her stepson is real family to her. So she comes up with a twisted idea to get back at her father: if Calvin gets her pregnant, she collects the inheritance and Calvin's genes officially become part of the family.
